A weekend in the Rocky Mountains
A couple weeks ago, I had a lovely Bike & Build reunion in Boulder, CO - a quick and rejuvenating weekend trip in the mountains. In a mere two hours (from San Diego and San Francisco), Kaitlyn and I were reunited with Melissa, who had just moved to the bustling college town.
Set against an unbeatable backdrop (the majestic purple Rocky Mountains), Boulder is probably one of the few non-coastal towns I can imagine myself living in. While not a full-fledged city, it actually had much of what I love about San Francisco - easily accessible outdoors activities, a lively trendy restaurant scene, plenty of craft beer, local music, and of course, Uber and Lyft! :)
Most of our short time in the actual town of Boulder was spent walking around downtown (Pearl Street), but we spent an amazing day in Rocky Mountain National Park, where we created our own little tour of the park's many alpine lakes.
While not as epic as when we biked through the park a couple years earlier, we got to see a lot of the park that we didn't see on our Bike & Build trip - including some wild elk!
Some more pictures below of our hike - enjoy!
