DIY Hanging Jewelry Organizer

It probably comes as a surprise to NO ONE that I have lots of jewelry, especially necklaces! I don't think I buy jewelry often, but I keep pieces for a long time and probably make several pieces of jewelry every year. It always drove me nuts to keep my necklaces in a regular jewelry box, because they always got tangled and I'd spend 10 minutes every few weeks trying to separate a necklace I wanted to wear that day, tracing where each chain or string was going. One day, I thought of a solution - a closet, but for necklaces, where each necklace had its own "hanger"!

DIY Wire Wrapped Gold Quartz Cuff

I have two fun jewelry DIYs for you, made from raw quartz pieces! Inspired by a few pieces of jewelry I had seen on Instagram (particularly from Anarchy Street), I decided to make a quartz cuff and quartz earrings! Both projects are pretty easy, and leave you with some pretty awesome, unique, and bold jewelry, for a pretty low cost - only ~$6 to make! I love love love how the bracelet turned out, and can't wait to wear it - it's a edgy, but feminine, and really different from any other jewelry I've seen people wearing. I think this bracelet is a pretty good day-to-evening piece; it spruces up a more casual work outfit, while still glam enough for more fancy attire. I think bracelets like these could be the start of a new trend - the statement bracelet! :)

This project does have a bit more required supplies than most, but it's still an easy project! I was a little worried that it would be hard to locate the quartz pieces I wanted, but was successful during recent visits my local bead store and Treasure Island Flea Market - about $1 per stone. I did have to search a bit for the cuff I wanted - I got mine at Forever 21, which I think will probably have a good selection of cuffs at any time. I would also check your local bead store or online to find a plain cuff to use. You also don't need to necessarily match your wire and cuff -I saw a picture of a similar bracelet that used mixed metal tones - gold wire and a silver cuff - which actually worked really well!

Anchor Charm DIY Braided Wrap Bracelet

I have another DIY wrap bracelet to add to your collection! I love this project because 1) it's easy and quick (good for us busy working girls) and 2) the finished product looks classy and chic (perfect for those of us who are sometimes lazy about fashion and need a little extra something to make an outfit go from meh to yay!). And it will go really well with some of my other wrap bracelets, like the hex nut one, or the beaded one!

DIY Hex Nut Braided Wrap Bracelet

I've mentioned before (in my Woven Chain Collar Necklace post) that one of my favorite DIY blogs and inspirations is Honestly WTF. There are some seriously awesome jewelry and accessories posts on that site. This tutorial is basically a re-post from her website - who wouldn't want to share such an awesome project? I love using hardware for purposes other than its intended one, like for a mini magnet succulent planter, or a necklace. It definitely gives me some satisfaction going to Home Depot as a solo female, confidently browsing aisles for some cool items, and leaving with a full bag of purchases!

See below for my own pictures and instructions for a hex nut bracelet, just like Honestly WTF's!

DIY Beaded Leather Wrap Bracelet

Hi! Thanks for visiting my website, I’m really excited to start sharing all of my DIY projects!

I thought that this leather beaded wrap bracelet was a great first post, since it was really one of my first DIY projects ever.

As with most of my DIY endeavors, I initially decided to try to make this because I saw a similar bracelet in a boutique (for over $150!!) and thought: I could definitely make this. The best part about making one yourself is that you can personalize it. I made a lot of these as gifts and have changed the bead types and colors based on my friends’ different styles.
